90-minute pottery-wheel experience. No experience necesary. All tools and materials provided.

Not suitable for children under 12 years old. Children under 16 years old must attend with an adult carer/guardian.

Does not include glazing and firing of pieces you make.

For an additional charge we can finish your work for you, glaze it and post it back to you.

Make your own Plates and Platters: 2-hour class

$125, Single one-off class

Make simple handmade plates and platers in this fun and accessible 2-hour workshop.

Cost includes clay, glazing and firing 3-4 of your creations in our kiln.

You will learn how to work with ready-made clay slabs, creating your own plate and platter shapes, shaping your slabs on ‘hump’ moulds, and decorating the surface of your pots with stamps and carvings.

This is an ideal experience for those of you looking to create some origial hand-made gifts for the Christmas and end-of-year holiday season!

Your finished ceramic items will be ready for collection after they have been dried, bisque-fired, glazed and glazed-fired - this usually takes 14-21 days.

Group Bookings

COST: negotiable

Dimboola Pottery offers special group bookings for business, social or family groups - that can be tailored to your group’s interests and available time.

These workshops can provide a fun and hands-on ‘team-building’ activity where you can connect informally through shared immersion in the pottery making process.

Choose from either pottery wheel experience; or slab-building workshop (make plates/dishes from slabs of clay).

Firing and glazing costs can be sold separately or bundled together.

Commencing January 13th, 6pm-8:30pm

Immerse yourself in the process of making pots on the potters wheel. As well as shaping clay on the wheel, you’ll learn how to trim the base of your pots afterwards -for a more refined look, and then complete your work with glazes and have it fired in our kiln.

If you already have some experience on the pottery wheel, this is an opportunity work with George to identify some specific skills and forms that you would like to explore.

All matertials and firing costs covered, and you collect the the finished work 3-weeks after the course has finshed.

Tuesday evenings:
6pm-8:30pm

7 weeks, 2.5 hours per week
